When the dancing hookers weren't distracting me, I'm pretty sure I heard some naughty words slip through the ABC censors. Is the "s" word OK now? That's progress, right? And then, if I'm not mistaken, presenter Queen Latifah used the "f" word before clapping her hand to her mouth. And THEN Three 6 Mafia was bleeped during their acceptance speech. What word could be left? Is there a "q" word?

Again, why can't we simply celebrate the achievements of Three 6 Mafia?
Actually, they changed the lyrics for the Oscar broadcast. Instead of "b*tches talking sh*t" they said "witches jumping ship." Watch the tape - it's pretty clear they cleaned it up.
Is this "song" the best that the African American Community can do? In my opinion it debases EVERYTHING Dr. King stood for! The whole idea of "pimping" is a denigrating abuse of women. What pride can there be in being a "pimp"? What a hideous example for the young. I deeply pity those who consider this filth ART!
It is time the African American community starting to celebrate a culture that uplifts rather than a culture that ends in lives being wasted in lifes's gutter.
