The White Sox announced terms of their deal with right-hander Matt Lindstrom, who gets a one-year, $2.8-million contract including a club option for 2014. Lindstrom will receive $2.3 million in 2013, while the Sox hold a $4-millon option for 2014, which has a $500,000 buyout.
Lindstrom, 32, went 1-0 with a 2.68 ERA and 40 strikeouts over 46 combined games with Baltimore and Arizona last season.
"Matt's addition helps solidify our bullpen with a power arm and a veteran presence," general manager Rick Hahn said. "He has excelled in many different bullpen roles during his career, and we are excited to add him to our strong group of relievers."
