Here is the Team USA provisional roster for the World Baseball Classic announced Thursday. There are no White Sox on the roster. Sox pitcher Jesse Crain was named to the Canadian team, outfielder Alex Rios and pitcher Hector Santiago will play for Puerto Rico and Sox pitching prospects Andre Rienzo and Andy Gonzalez will play for Brazil and Puerto Rico, respectively.

All 16 teams have until Feb. 20 to file formal rosters. Team USA has to make one addition to its 15-man pitching staff. The team will be managed by Joe Torre.
Important dates: The first round is March 2-6 in Japan, March 2-5 in Taiwan, March 7-10 in Puerto Rico and March 7-10 in Phoenix. The second round is March 8-12 in Japan and March 12-16 in Miami. The semifinals and finals are March 17-19 in San Francisco.
