AL Central Watch: June 5 - Inside the White Sox

AL Central Watch: June 5

Here’s a quick glance at what’s happening around the American League Central.

The Twins come to town this weekend, and the White Sox should know that 11 consecutive runners have successfully stolen a base against catcher Joe Mauer.

Manager Jim Leyland again is shaking his head over the Tigers’ maddening offense, saying: ‘‘We look like we're swinging underwater.’’ Now, there is talk in Detroit that Leyland could be on the hot seat.

Consistency continues to be a problem for the Indians, writes Rob Oller.

Check back later for updates.

KW certainly knows his job. But to be content with Konerko & Thome batting near or below Mendoza line may come back on sox. Sox may hang on in a weak AL central. But won't go far should they make playoffs. His comments are "we are still in first aren't we"? Something along that line? Swisher hopefully will come out of his slump along with Cabrera who's now stuck at around .240. Sox had allot of good pitch games go to waste due to a lack of clutch.
