AL Central Watch: June 17 - Inside the White Sox

AL Central Watch: June 17

Here's a quick glance at what's happening around the American League Central.

Though sources say he isn’t expected to be major-league-ready until next season, the Tigers are interested in signing former White Sox right-hander Freddy Garcia.

Indians manager Eric Wedge is sticking with Grady Sizemore in the leadoff spot.

Interesting matchup: The Twins' Delmon and the Nationals' Dmitri Young will meet as opponents tonight.

Check back later for updates.

Sox certainly woke up versus pirates (6-17) for one game at least.Problem with sox they usually go into funk right when you think the offense has found itself. Quinten probably lost any all star bid with his current slump. I hope it is a slump & not the pitchers figuring him out? Konerko can stay on DL has done little to impress with his high salary.Wise has a chance to stick with club if he can hit. He has speed that sox miss plus could lead off.Cabrera has hit better of late ,but not a lead off hitter. If all fails sox need a true lead off guy who can set the table.KW must do something or sox may make playoffs but will be a quick exit with current club make up.
