NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The White Sox selected right-hander Santo Luis from the Houston Astros today in the Class AAA portion of the Rule 5 draft at the winter meetings.

Luis, who is 6-5 and 205 pounds, has gone 10-13 with a 3.45 ERA, 247 strikeouts and 22 saves over four minor-league seasons in the Astros organization.

With this move we are COMPLETE, WORLD SERIES, HERE WE COME!!!

Wow, another power-armed future HOFer the Sox have ingeniously snatched away from under the noses of the upper division clubs. Raw gold to be refined through the wizaredly brilliance of the Williams/Guillen/Cooper troika of clowns.

I love the comic Pooch Cafe in the print version of the ST. It is however not as funny as what Kenny Williams is turning into. An egomaniac spoiled brat .. who I'll give another year before I start calling him names because of what he did in 2005.

"They gone"

LOL, you guys are hillarious!

It appears that the Chicago White Sox forgot what had won them a World Series Championship, That being pitching. It seems that we are giving away what little minor league pitching we have and are not really looking for any type of veteran pitching either through free agency or trades(Not that we have a lot to trade). But instead if we are going to go with the young starters then lets start with all youngsters and see what we got to build on>This make shift part here and there is not going to solve the problem or compete with the other teams in the division. It is okay to wise in your spending but dont act like big spenders because the true fans are not STUPID!

As a Sox fan, I am truly disgusted with the team and management. The laughable Cubs can not be laughed at anymore. Even though the Sox brought a baseball championship to the city two years, there has been a rapid regression in talent. I must admit that I will have an envious eye on the Cubs for the foreseeable future. Even though they overpay players, at least they are willing to take the chances to improve. As a Sox fan, I can no longer hold on to the 2005 championship. It makes me look so bad. The Cubs ARE getting better and the Sox ARE much worse.

Aaron Rowand is not the answer. He can not play center and pitch.

In the tradition of the White Sox philosphy, they pick up all the tall, skinny, young pitching rejects with hard fast balls they can to see if Don Cooper can work some magic with them. In the tradition of draft picks from the late rounds (Buerlhe) and my project for your project (Garland), and your high round busts (Jenks), we pick up all the failures we can to see if one will fly.

This is the only way that Sox fans can say that Santo is coming to town after this offseason.
