NBC and Sky Living unveiled plans Tuesday for "Dracula," a new drama series based on the Bram Stoker classic.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers ("The Tudors") will play the lead role. The show is from the producers behind the PBS juggernaut "Downton Abbey."
The 10-episode series introduces Dracula as he arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who ostensibly wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. But he really wants to wreak revenge on the folks who ruined his life centuries earlier.
What can stop him? He falls hopelessly in love with a woman who looks like a reincarnation of his dead wife.
More details on casting, etc. to be released in the future.
Let's hope it doesn't suck.
