SATURDAY
"Monsterwolf" (8 p.m., SyFy): The staff of an unscrupulous oil company is attacked by . . . well, a monstrous wolf, a creature that kills to protect the planet. Timely! Starring Jason London (not the twin that was kidnapped and forced to do drugs - the other one).
"Jason and the Argonauts" (9 p.m., WCIU-Channel 26): Svengoolie hosts a special extended show of othe Ray Harryhausen classic from 1963, including a skeleton sword fight that took more than four months to create. "The goddess Hera is played by Honor Blackman -- Pussy Galore from 'Goldfinger'," says Svengoolie. "Which is ironic, since Jason is searching for the Golden Fleece!"
"Saturday Night Live" (10:30 p.m., WMAQ-Channel 5): The sublime Jane Lynch hosts. Will she give a shout-out to the south suburbs? The musical guest is Bruno Mars.
SUNDAY
Tony Curtis marathon (5 a.m., Turner Classic Movies): Twelve movies in 24 hours: "Beachhead," "Kings Go Forth," "The Vikings," "Operation Petticoat," "Who Was That Lady?," "Sex and the Single Girl," "You Can't Win 'Em All," "Sweet Smell of Success," "The Defiant Ones," "Trapeze," "The Great Race," "Don't Make Waves."
"Check, Please!" marathon (noon, WTTW-Channel 11): Indulge.
Stephen J. Cannell marathon (1 p.m., Me-Too Channel 48/26.3): Reminisce about the greatness of Cannell with five episodes of the more than 40 television shows he produced. At 1 p.m.: "Black Sheep Squadron." At 2: "The Rockford Files." At 3: "The Greatest American Hero." At 4: "Hardcastle and McCormick." At 5: "The A-Team."
"Tricking and Treating With Martha Stewart" (8 p.m., Hallmark): Food, décor and costumes with sidekick Brendan Fraser. Sounds like an "SNL" skit, but it's not.
