So the 12 new celebs have just been announced, some surprises, some quite expected.

If you missed it.. here ya go:
The ladies:
pop singer Brandy;
actress Jennifer Grey
comedienne Margaret Cho
actress Audrina Patridge
actress Florence ("The Brady Bunch") Henderson
publicity hound Bristol Palin

Over on the men's team:
Michael Bolton (who wasn't available for tonight's live announcement)
The Situation (who also wasn't available for tonight's live announcement); no doubt he was stuck in the spray tan booth.
David "The Hoff" Hasselhoff who said his daughters are huge fans of the show, so he's doing it all for them.
NFL superstar Kurt Warner, also no surprise, as this was a done deal for several weeks already.
The biggest surprise, probably Kyle Massey, the rapper and former child star ("That's So Raven"). I don't think ANYONE predicted he'd be there on line-up announcement night.
NBA champ Rick Fox. Also a newcomer to the rumor mill.

Then the brief question-and-answer session yieled these pearls:

"Soooo unfair...... I'm 50, it's been a lot of years," Jennifer Grey lamented when asked about her "full circle" from "Dirty Dancing" to "Dancing with the Stars."

Bristol Palin was asked if ma Sarah would be visible in the ballroom come the new season (which starts Sept. 20, by the way on ABC at 7 p.m.). The spritely new mom said "I hope so." Ratings cha-ching!!
