"Smallville" (7 p.m., WGN-Channel 9): Everyone's jumping on the "Zombieland" wagon. Zod unleashes a zombie plague on the city, and Lois is infected.

"Brothers" (7 p.m., WFLD-Channel 32): Snoop Dogg guest stars as a shady lawyer.

"Check Please!" (8 p.m., WTTW-Channel 11): The season premiere reviews Blue 13, Cafe Central and Stained Glass Bistro.

"20/20" (9 p.m., WLS-Channel 7): A profile of Valerie Bertinelli, including a 1985 interview with Eddie Van Halen. In light of Mackenzie Phillips' recent revelations, we have even more confirmation that Bertinelli was the "good sister" on "One Day at a Time."

"Sanctuary" (9 p.m., SyFy): It's a new season for this sci-fi series, in which a 157-year-old scientist (the surprisingly lithe Amanda Tapping) seeks out non-human intelligent creatures known as Abnormals. Beyond that, I couldn't begin to explain it to you.
