"Ugly Betty" (7 p.m., WLS-Channel 7): The fourth-season premiere promises that Betty will be slightly less ugly. Sideswept bangs! Frizz-Ease! And the tease that her braces come off "in a few months." Now Betty has been promoted to junior editor, and Daniel is struggling to adjust to life without Betty or his late wife.

"Secrets of the Lost Symbol" (8 p.m., WMAQ-Channel 5): Matt Lauer interviews author Dan Brown, and examines the secretive brotherhood of the Freemasons featured in Brown's new book.

"Law & Order" (7 p.m., WMAQ-Channel 5): When the mother of 10 adopted, special-needs kids is murderered, the investigation reveals that there was a reality TV show at stake. Comic Jim Gaffigan plays it straight as the dad, and Jon, Kate, and Nadya Suleman all get name checks.
