Thursday highlights, 8/27/09

"Pickles n' Cookies" (2:40 p.m., Channel 38.2): Peter Lagershausen, a local 11-year-old, made an animated film that was chosen by qubo to be remastered, complete with professional voiceover talent. You can say that you've been a fan of the auteur from way back.

"Battle of the High School Musicals: Guys 'N' Divas" (7:30 p.m., Showtime): Two schools in southern Indiana have an intense rivalry as they compete for a spot in the International Thespian Festival, where student musical productions often cost tens of thousands of dollars. "Hoosiers" for the theater crowd.

"Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory" (8 p.m., MTV): The champion skateboarder is back for a new season It's sort of like the Make a Wish Foundation, without the kids. It's followed by a block of MTV fan favorites: "Bully Beatdown" (8:30 p.m.), "Nitro Circus" (9 p.m.) and "Pranked" (9:30 p.m.).
