"Mental" (8 p.m., WFLD-Channel 12): The recently, mysteriously deceased David Carradine guest stars as a famous philosopher who was struck by lightning, crippled and widowed. Too creepy not to watch.

"The Little Couple" (9 p.m., TLC): Wean yourself off "Jon and Kate" with these charming newlyweds.

"Starz Inside: The Face Is Familiar" (9 p.m., Starz): Richard Roeper hosts this documentary, about the careers of Hollywood's most "Do I know you?" character actors. Among my favorites: Stephen Tobolowsky, Jane Lynch, Danny Trejo.

"Food Party" (10:15 p.m., IFC): I'm not actually recommending this. I have no idea what to make of it. But if you find yourself up, and your mind has already been altered in some way, you may respond to hostess Thu Tran, her bizarre puppets and her colorful cardboard set.
