'I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!': The Patti report

Rod Blagojevich finally managed to get air time on "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" Wife Patti had a chance to talk with her family on last night's episode via Skype video call.

"We miss you and we're proud of you," said Rod.

"Did you like the tarantula?" asked 5-year-old Anne.

Rod told her she didn't have to worry about the girls. "They're clean, they're reading," he said.

After the call, Patti beamed. "My girls were smiling," she said. "My husband looked a little tired."
It was an enormous mood swing from earlier in the episode, when the celebrities were discussing their big breaks into show business.

"What we have had is not a big break but a huge catastrophe," said Patti, crying. "It's so hard because everything we worked so hard for has been totally destroyed."

Lou Diamond Phillips later told the camera, "She had everything. She and her husband built a career, a respectable one... they're starting from ground zero."

If anyone asked Patti a question along the lines of, "Did you suspect that shaking down a children's hospital might be wrong?," it didn't make the episode.

In other news:

*Daniel Baldwin was voted off the show.

*Sanjaya Malakar and Holly Montag are striking up a romance, which would help ratings. But Sanjaya has a unique idea of foreplay. "Do you want me to braid your hair?" he asked Holly.

Celebrity? My Ass
This politically connected Democrat woman was brought onto this show in a contrived way to get the heat off her husband and now to get her into the John & Eight Plus Kate (read correctly) plus 8- "female star-celeb stratosphere".
Proving yet again you can be a woman of minimal means and looks ( and "substance") but if the "star search" selects you-it wont be long before you run into that light and leave behind all you once knew- slutting yourself to celeb-status.
"Im a celebrity- get me outta here" is what she will be saying to her soon to be ex husband and family.

Patti Blagojevich is showing that she's a woman of substance. I think that her husband did no different than any politician. Put a wire tap on any politician's phone, and you're going to hear things that you would think outrageous. The same goes for businesses/non-profits seeking government grants and contracts. The state legislature is full of hypocrites. I wish Patti and Rod the best of luck.

Patti,
You rock girl. Watching you on I'm a celeb. I have no worries for a person of your character......... You already are a winner in my book.
