Stevie Wonder on 'Idol': 'I love you, Barack Obama!'

During Stevie Wonder's medley of Motown hits last night, he gave a shout out to the President: "I love you, Barack Obama!" (at about 5:46 below).

And then later in the medley, gave the same shout out to the show: "I love you, 'American Idol'!"

I get creeped out whenever a celebrity gives a 'shout out' to a politician... particularly when the show had nothing at all to do with politics.

Although there was the irony of seeing the president being idolized on American idol... which was kinda fitting. A lot of style over substance.
