Eager to hear Kanye West's new single? Might as well, given that the release date for the album keeps changing and changing (it's now Nov. 24).
Then tune in tonight to "90210," the show that once brought the Flaming Lips to the world and is once again trying to be a platform for cool new music.
Kanye's "Heartless" already is the No. 1 digital download in the country. The song will be featured during tonight's episode, "Games People Play," at 7 p.m. on the CW network.
Fellow music fans: Anyone know that Nic Harcourt, from KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic," is the freakin' music supervisor for this show? And that he's leaving his KCRW post at the end of the month?
"Kanye's music is a perfect match for 90210. In this particular episode we get to see the dark side of Naomi and 'Heartless' is the perfect underscore for her actions," says Harcourt in the network's press release about this "event."
The "Heartless" music video will be available on the CW Web site after the episode airs.
Meanwhile, here's the Lips' appearance back on ye olde "90210" -- always good for a repeat ... the "mystery band" that's so "cutting edge," the cool the crazy the fabulous Flaming Lips ...
