Flatley gets his own 'Dancing' show

Seems like the good fortune just keeps coming for folks who participate in "Dancing with the Stars." The show absolutely revived the careers of John O'Hurley and Mario Lopez. And now comes word that Michael Flatley, who subbed for lead judge Len Goodman a few weeks back, is getting his own reality dance show.

Lord Flatley (left) in his dancing hey-day.

EW.Com's Annie Barrett is reporting:

"Michael Flatley, whom I have somewhat affectionately labeled "DANCLRD" for that one week he filled in for DANCMSTR Len Goodman on this season's Dancing With the Stars, will host his own dance series on NBC. can we title this sucker so that it's basically a synonym for 'DWTS' but also kind of one-ups it a bit...Macy's Stars of Dance: The Series? People Who Really Are Stars DANCE? Dance Superstars? Nope. Flatley's show will be called "Superstar Dancers of the World." The WORLD! Oh, they went there. "American Idol" evil genius Simon Fuller and "So You Think You Can Dance?" judge/troll Nigel Lythgoe are to blame for this mess."

And of course, like Annie, we'll also be tuning in for this uhm, mess.

Hmm, I don't know. Wasn't Flatley's personality a little ... er, flat ... when he was subbing as judge? I don't think he's gonna set the WORLD on fire or anything.
