Aaaaargh! For the second year in a row, the judges on "Project Runway" couldn't make the hard choice and copped out on the final elimination ...
Instead of booting Kenley -- clearly each judge would like to smack her back-talking mouth, and the other three contestants obviously want her negativity and insecurity to vamoose -- Nina, Michael, Heidi and guest wussed out and allowed all four to go forth and prepare a final collection for Bryant Park.
In the end, at least, only three will be allowed to actually compete at New York Fashion Week, but the simple fact that Kenley's bad attitude lives another day is aggravating. It's further illustration of the difference between reality and reality TV. In the real, professional world, Kenley would have been shown the door weeks ago. But her continued presence no doubt adds the intrigue of an irritant -- especially after such a congenial bunch last year -- and perhaps keeps us watching. Or at least ranting.
It may be maddening that Kenley gets the opportunity to show at Bryant Park, but actually all of the final six contestants showed collections there when Fashion Week took place early in September. "Runway" started doing that a while ago to foil spoilers. We know that Leanne's dresses impressed, and Kenley was (shock!) "predictable."
