Republican presidential nominee John McCain might have tried to get out of a scheduled appearance on the "Late Show" with David Letterman unscathed, but the talk show host wasn't having it.
McCain canceled his appearance on the show Wednesday at last minute -- in addition to suspending his campaign (also trying to persuade Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama to do the same) to focus on the struggling economy.
Not so fast, says Letterman:
I don't watch Letterman too often but I think it's funny, I don't care who's side you're on..
Lighten up people, it's just politics and entertainment...
..but Palin is quite the looker, though.
They should have put Sarah Palin on Letterman instead so she could show what a fool she is. Or they could just keep hiding her from the media like usual.

I have never been able to understand why anyone would watch David Letterman on a nightly basis. He is not good looking, is an intellectual lightweight and is seldom amusing. This Letterman rant because McCain canceled appearing on his show is an excellent example of why I have often wondered why anyone would watch this guy. The lack of justice in the world is illustrated in this instance when I think of the many talented people who are seldom seen or heard from and a guy like Letterman has a forum of this size to spout his nonsense.
LOOK, WE ALL KNOW THAT LETTERMAN IS FOR OBAMA. I AM A FORMER DEC TURNED INDEPENDENT. I WOULD NOT WATCH LETTERMAN AGAIN IF HE WAS THE ONLY THING ON TV. TALK ABOUT AGGORANCE, HE AND OBAMA MAKE A GREAT TEAM.

john mccain seems to think that washington can't function without his help. any excuse to get out of his debate with barack obama. how can he be this unprepared at this stage of the campaign? very, very, sad!
