The annual American Birkebeiner -- North America's largest cross-country ski race -- will hit the Northwoods of Wisconsin on Feb. 23.

The race is in its 35th year. If you've skied it before, what hints and pointers do you have to offer to the rookies?

Any tips on where to eat and/or play in the area of Cable and Hayward, where the race starts and ends?

Sin City's newest megaresort, The Palazzo, got a red carpet welcome over the weekend.

It's a sign of more to come, with huge projects like MGM Mirage's CityCenter and the Wynn's newest tower coming down the pike.

The city already has an abundance of hotels and resorts. What's your favorite? Tell me -- and tell me why -- and you could win a copy of Zagat's Las Vegas guide, 2008.

It's no secret that Chinese tourists can't get enough of Vegas. They mean big business to the city's casinos and resorts, so it's little surprise that Chinese New Year gets a lot of attention in that desert town.

The Orlando Sentinel recently reported that Walt Disney World is banning children under 10 from its swanky Victoria & Albert's restaurant in the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the only restaurant in the theme park with a AAA five-diamond rating.

A Disney official told the newspaper that it was responding to guests' desires after surveys showed many diners wanted a more adult restaurant atmosphere.

Disney has 97 other full-service restaurants, the official said, and very few families wanted to eat at Victoria & Albert's, where the menu offers seven-course dinners that start at $125 per person and can last three hours.

Well, if only a few families wanted to eat there, I'm not sure why Disney felt the need to ban those few that did.

Here's a sweet deal: Austrian Airlines Vacation Center has pulled together a Vienna Valentine package available for travel between February 7-28.

The package includes roundtrip airfare between Chicago and Vienna, Austria, and three nights hotel accommodations in a double room in the superior tourist class Albatros Hotel. You'll also get a daily breakfast buffet. Cost is $599 per person, but that doesn't include an array of fees and taxes that can tack on roughly $165 per passenger.

Airlines are experiencing some of the worst delays in history.....

24 percent of flights arrived late January-October, the second worst delays on record.

A recent AP story quoted the president of the Air Travelers Association said if the system continues at capacity, "two hour delays will become the new normal."

If you travel with any regularity, you must have experienced a delay yourself.
