It didn't take long for the marketing geniuses to capitalize on the popularity of the 2004 hit film "Sideways."

Tourism folks put together an excellent map leading you to more than a dozen locations featured in the movie, including Gaviota State Beach, Ocean Lanes bowling alley, the Hitching Post II Restaurant and, of course, plenty of wineries.

Here's how to get a free copy of the helpful guide:

Go to SantabarbaraCA.com and request a free copy or download the PDF. Lots of local visitors centers in the Santa Barbara region also have hard copies of the map.

Drive carefully and have fun!
