Famous Fat Dave tries to avoid Times Square at all costs, but that's not easy for a New York City cabbie.

If he does find himself stuck in the Square around lunch time, he's sure to order a Cuban sandwich at Margon, 136 West 46th Street.

"It's run by Dominicans but they've got great Cuban food," he said. "The roast chicken, rice and beans are great. The whole place is about the size of a subway car."

And if he's headed to watch the Yankees play, he drops by the Feeding Tree, a Jamaican jerk joint at 892 Gerard Ave.

"It’s a real locals haunt, a full meal is less than the price of one beer inside the ballpark, and it’s practically within sight of the upper deck seats," he said.

Any places you're partial to in New York City? Let me know and I'll post them here. Who knows? Maybe they'll even be news to Famous Fat Dave....
