Ford is saying goodbye to the 71-year-old Mercury Brand this year. The analyst talk on this I've seen suggests this is a good thing for Ford, which keeps doing better. Here's a Bloomberg story.

Well why not!!!! I own a Mercury Mountaineer and I love it so now what? Ford intends to stop making them? That is a mistake. It is a better vehicle in Quality, ride, features and performance than the Ford SUV's. Dealers and others keep saying their the same vehicle. No they're not and Ford you Suck for stopping production of Mercury which looks better then Fords do. I certainly don't intend to buy a Ford.
