CTA Weekend Work

| 1 Comment | No TrackBacks

Another perfect weekend... for CTA construction. Enjoy the early fall blue skies and warm weather, but leave time for delays. Here's the weekend work announcement on the Blue Line. Blue Line service between Belmont and Montrose is suspended for slow zone work Friday night to early Monday morning. Bus shuttles will carry riders between those stops.

I believe that CTA needs to stop all the construction work. Everywhere you turn, there's blocked entrances and re-routing of buses and trains due to the renovation of the CTA trains. I rode the Blue Line train before and it's very nerve-wrecking. Every train is packed with many people traveling with suitcases going to Midway. People are going to there classes and others are traveling to the Cubs games. CTA needs to save the billions of dollars used for renovationa and use that towards opening new facilities and improving the trains and buses we use currently.
