CN Railway Meeting Sked

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

If you're curious about Canadian National Railway's proposed purchase of the Elgin Joliet & Eastern Railway and its effect on railway traffic in the suburbs, public meetings are being held around the Chicago area to present the findings of the U.S. Surface Transportation Board and receive public comment. Should be lively, at least occasionally...

The first of eight public meetings will be held August 25, 2008 to present the findings of the draft environmental impact statement by the STB. Each public meeting will offer an informal open house segment from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, followed by a formal public meeting from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. For dates and locations, see the web site

Here's the Sun-Times story on the environmental impact statement.
