President Obama official schedule and guidance, April 2, 2013. BRAIN, Singapore PM, Hagel, "42" screening

In the morning, the President will announce the Administration's BRAIN (Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies) Initiative--a bold new research effort to revolutionize our understanding of the human mind and advance the President's vision for creating jobs and building a thriving middle class by investing in research and development. The President's remarks in the East Room will be open press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will welcome Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore to the White House. The United States and Singapore have strong economic and security ties, and our strategic partnership reflects a shared commitment to working together to ensure the continued peace, stability and prosperity of the Asia-Pacific region. The President looks forward to discussing with Prime Minister Lee a broad range of strategic and economic issues affecting the Asia-Pacific region. The Vice President will also attend the meeting. There will be a pool spray at the top of the bilateral meeting in the Oval Office.

In the morning, the President and the Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will meet with senior advisors. This meeting in the Oval Office is closed press.

In the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will meet for lunch in the Private Dining Room. This lunch is closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will welcome Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore to the White House.
