DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

THURSDAY, MARCH 21, 2013

In the morning, the President will visit the Israel Museum where he will view the Dead Sea Scrolls and visit a technology exposition. There will be limited pool coverage of the viewing of the Dead Sea Scrolls and there will be travel pool coverage of the technology exposition.

Later in the morning, the President will travel to the Muqata Presidential Compound in Ramallah where he will participate in an official arrival ceremony as well as a photo with his delegation and President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority and his delegation before holding a restricted bilateral meeting with President Abbas. Afterwards, the President and President Abbas will meet for an expanded working lunch before holding a joint press conference. There will be pre-set pool coverage of the official arrival ceremony. The restricted bilateral meeting and the expanded working lunch are closed press. The press conference is open press.

In the afternoon, the President will travel to the Al-Bireh Youth Development and Resource Center where he and Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Fayyad will take a tour and watch a youth dance performance. The President will also take part in a roundtable with Palestinian youth. There will be travel pool coverage of the tour and dance performance. The youth roundtable is closed press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will return to Jerusalem where he will deliver remarks to the Israeli people at the Jerusalem International Convention Center. The President's remarks are open press.

Next, the President will meet with U.S. Embassy Tel Aviv and U.S. Consulate General Jerusalem staff at the U.S. Consulate facility in Jerusalem. This event is closed press.

In the evening, the President will attend a dinner hosted by President Peres at the President's residence. There will be travel pool coverage of the President's remarks at the dinner and the Medal of Distinction ceremony.

The President will remain overnight in Jerusalem.
