On Monday, the President will award Clinton Romesha, a former active duty Army Staff Sergeant, the Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry. This event will be held at the White House and the First Lady will also attend.
On Tuesday evening, the President will deliver his State of the Union Address at 9:00 PM EST. The Vice President, the First Lady, and Dr. Biden will attend.
On Wednesday, the President will travel to the Asheville, North Carolina, area. The President will return to Washington, DC in the evening. More details about the President's travel will be released as they become available.
On Thursday, the President will travel to the Atlanta, Georgia, area. The President will return to Washington, DC in the evening. More details about the President's travel will be released as they become available.
On Friday morning, the President will host President Giorgio Napolitano of Italy in the Oval Office. President Napolitano will soon conclude his term in office, following a long and distinguished career of service to Italy, a close ally and friend of the United States. The President looks forward to welcoming President Napolitano to pay a farewell call and further reinforce the strong and enduring bonds between our two countries. Later in the morning, the President will welcome to the White House the recipients of the 2012 Presidential Citizens Medal, the nation's second-highest civilian honor.
