WASHINGTON--Mayor Rahm Emanuel, former chief of staff for President Barack Obama on Tuesday zapped Rep. Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney's new running mate.

Emanuel knows Ryan from his days in the House and, as the Chicago Sun-Times City Hall reporter Fran Spielman reports, he said Ryan policies could set back the economy.
