WASHINGTON--Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, President Barack Obama's former chief of staff, will meet with four cabinet secretaries and discuss his Chicago Infrastructure Trust proposal during a visit here starting Thursday evening and ending Friday.
Emanuel huddles with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta Thursday night in a session a Pentagon spokesman told me was a get together between friends. Emanuel and Panetta served together in the Bill Clinton White House.
On Friday morning, Emanuel, joined by Transportation Sec. Ray LaHood discuss Emanuel's Trust plan at the Center for American Progress.
Later, Emanuel meets with Department of Homeland Security Sec. Janet Napolitano, Energy Sec. Stephen Chu and LaHood.
