DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14, 2012
In the morning, the President and the First Lady will welcome British Prime Minister David Cameron and Mrs. Samantha Cameron to the White House. The Vice President and Dr. Biden will also attend. The official arrival ceremony on the South Lawn is open to pre-credentialed press. The deadline to request media credentials has passed.
Later in the morning, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Cameron in the Oval Office. There will be a pool spray at the top of the meeting. The President will then hold an expanded bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Cameron and the Official U.S. and Official U.K. Delegations in the Cabinet Room. The Vice President will also attend. This meeting is closed press.
In the afternoon, the President will hold a joint press conference with Prime Minister Cameron in the Rose Garden. The press conference is open to pre-credentialed press, however the deadline to request media credentials has passed.
In the evening, the President and the First Lady will welcome Prime Minister Cameron and Mrs. Cameron at the North Portico. This arrival is pooled for TV and correspondents and open to pre-credentialed still photographers. The deadline to request media credentials has passed. The President and the First Lady will then take the official photo with Prime Minister Cameron and Mrs. Cameron on the Grand Staircase. This is pooled press.
Later, the President and the First Lady will host a State Dinner in honor of Prime Minister Cameron on the South Lawn. The Vice President and Dr. Biden will also attend. The President and Prime Minister Cameron will each give a toast. The toast remarks during the dinner are pooled press. Following the dinner, the President and the First Lady will attend the State Dinner reception with Prime Minister Cameron and Mrs. Cameron on the South Lawn. There will be pooled press coverage of this event.
