WASHINGTON--President Obama, First Lady Michelle, and Sasha went to services on Sunday morning at St. John's Episcopal Church. The Obama family rarely attends public church services in Washington. The family walked to the church, about a short block from the White House.

The eighth time was July 17, 2011 when the entire family attended services at St. John's.
The seventh time was April 24, 2011, when President Obama, First Lady Michelle, Malia and Sasha headed to Easter services on Sunday morning at Shiloh Baptist Church.
The sixth time was Sept. 19, 2010 when the Obama family walked across Lafayette Square from the White House to St. John's Episcopal Church.
For Easter 2010, the Obama family worshiped at Allen Chapel AME, the fifth time Obama attended church in Washington.
For Easter 2009, the Obama family attended services at St. John's Episcopal Church.
