Amy Rule, wife of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, will speak in public in her official role for the first time on Thursday--at NATO headquarters in Brussels to mark the May NATO summit in Chicago.
This is the highest profile yet for Rule--who has tried very hard to stay out of the spotlight since Emanuel became mayor in May, 2011.
Rule is part of a Chicago delegation jetting to Brussels for the opening ceremony of an exhibit about Chicago at NATO headquarters. Gov. Pat Quinn is also going.
