Rahm taps former Bulls BJ Armstrong, Linda Johnson Rice for city boards

Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced his appointments to six boards and commissions in the City today. They include the Chicago Public Library Board, Chicago Park District Board, Community Colleges of Chicago Board, Chicago Plan Commission, Affirmative Action Advisory Board and the Building Board of Appeals. These appointees represent a diverse group of community and business leaders from across the city.
"Throughout their careers, these individuals have shown a deep dedication to serving communities across Chicago," said Mayor Emanuel. "My administration is committed to providing people in every neighborhood with the highest quality and most effective services. I'm confident these appointees will help the City achieve its goals."
Appointed to the Chicago Public Library Board are:
Linda Johnson Rice, President and CEO of Johnson Publishing Company
Lynn Lockwood, Creative, Non-profit, and Political Consultant
Appointed to the Chicago Park District Board is:
Benjamin "BJ" Armstrong, Vice President of Basketball Management at Wasserman
Media Group LLC and former player for the Chicago Bulls
Appointed to the Community Colleges of Chicago Board is:
Susan M. Santiago, Vice President of Food and Beverage - North America Operations at Hyatt Hotels and Resorts
Appointed to the Chicago Plan Commission are:
Martin Cabrera, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Cabrera Capital Markets, LLC.
Leslie F. Bond, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Attucks Asset Management
Daniel Sih, President and Architect at J.W. Sih and Associates, Inc.
Linda A. Searl, President and Principal at Searl Lamaster Howe Architects, P.C.
Appointed to the Affirmative Action Advisory Board are:
Wilbur C. Milhouse III, President and CEO of Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc.
Stephanie J. Hickman, President and CEO of Trice Construction Company
Appointed to the Building Board of Appeals are:
Fred A. Moody, Associate Clerk of Facilities and Records Management at the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County
Johnathan Boyer, Principal at Farr Associates
Robert Hite, member of United Association of Pipefitters LU 597
Jimmy Akintonde, President and CEO of Ujamaa Construction, Inc.
Linda L. Mastandrea, Attorney concentrating in disability law and advocacy
