Obama in Chicago praises Bill Daley

pool report by the Chicago Sun-Times Abdon M. Pallasch...

Rolled from HQ @ 5:24 after Obama spent about 20-25 minutes with the troops,
then on to the University of Illinois at Chicago Forum, where he talked for
nearly a half-hour. The event was open press. He singled out the performers
and his law school classmate Hill Harper; Sen. Dick Durbin, Rep. Jan
Schakowsky; Rep. Danny Davis; and Bill Daley. Here's what he said about
Daley:

³I want to say a special word about a friend of ours, a man who has done
extraordinary work for me and performed extraordinary service for our
country over the past year, Bill Daley ... Bill and I, when we got off the
plane, we said, is it really 45 degrees in January? When Bill first told me
it was time for him to return to our hometown, I asked him to take a couple
days to reconsider but it is tough to resist the greatest city in the world.
As much as I will miss him in the white house, he will be an extraordinary
asset to our campaign. He¹s going to be helping us win in 2012.²

Holding until heading off to 2nd event at Fred Eychaner's home.
