WASHINGTON--Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood joins Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Gov. Pat Quinn on Thursday Thursday afternoon to hand out federal funding for public transit at the Logan Square Blue Line stop, 2620 N. Milwaukee Ave.
In October, LaHood was in Chicago with Emanuel and Quinn (plus Democrats Sen. Dick Durbin, Rep. Bobby Rush and Rep. Dan Lipinski) to launch the "Englewood Flyover" high speed rail project with a $126 million grant from DOT's high-speed intercity passenger rail program.
