Mitt Romney back in Chicago: More fund-raising

WASHINGTON--GOP White House hopeful hits the Chicago suburbs for fund-raisers and a Tuesday interview with George Stephanopoulos as part of the new ABC News/Yahoo! News partnership. The 12:15 p.m. ET (11:15 a.m. Chicago time) interview will be live-streamed Throughout the day on ABCNews.com and Yahoo.com.

Romney and his wife Ann hit the Lake Forest home of Melissa and Reeve Waud--(of the Illinois Tool Works and Northern Trust Waud family) for a reception in the late afternoon. The price tags range from $1,000 to a pledge to raise $25,000 for a "bundler." A VIP reception and a photo goes for $2,500.

Romney's last Chicago event on Oct. 27, hosted by Susan Crown (of the Crown family) and her husband William Kunkler at the Tree Studios, 12 East Ohio. Last month, the $25,000 bundlers--those who use their personal contacts to raise money for a candidate--got private dinners with Romney. The new bundlers will have to settle for the Lake Forest reception.

Illinois is fertile turf for Romney: his campaign is led by state Treasurer Dan Rutherford. He has visited Chicago several times now for money and has the backing of key Illinois Republican figures. Still, rival Rep. Ron Paul (D-Texas) won the Illinois Republican Party's straw vote ($5 a vote) with 52 percent of the vote.

Chicago Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed earlier reported Romney will also be at former House Speaker Dennis Hastert's home in Plano for an event hosted by Rep. Judy Biggert.
