MONDAY: Ret. General Wesley Clark and Ret. Major General Paul Eaton to Hold Press Conference on the 2012 Election and National Security at National Press Club
WASHINGTON - Ret. General Wesley Clark and Ret. Major General Paul Eaton will hold a press conference on the 2012 election and National Security at the National Press Club on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. EST.
Last week's foreign policy debate put a spotlight on a Republican field that is not ready for the world stage. General Clark, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe from 1997 to 2000 who led Operation Allied Force in Kosovo, and Major General Eaton, former Commanding General of the Coalition Military Assistance Training Team in Iraq that led the training of the Iraqi military and security forces in 2003 and 2004, will discuss the President's strong national security record, including his work to bring all combat troops home from Iraq by the end of the year, the dismantling of Al Qaeda, and the toppling of Gadhafi as part on an international coalition that included no American boots on the ground. Generals Clark and Eaton know that when it comes to foreign policy, you only get one shot; they will raise important questions about the Republican field's foreign policy proposals.
