DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2011

On the second day of his American Jobs Act bus tour, the President will be in North Carolina and Virginia where he will call on Congress to pass the American Jobs Act piece-by-piece, beginning with the proposal to provide funding to prevent teacher layoffs and keep police officers and firefighters on the job.

In the morning, the President will hold a roundtable meeting with educators at Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, North Carolina. There will be a pool spray at the top of the meeting.

Later in the morning, the President will deliver remarks at Guilford Technical Community College. The President's remarks are open to pre-credentialed media.

In the afternoon, the President will visit a high school in Virginia to tour a computer lab and observe a robotics demonstration. This visit is pooled press.

Later, the President will deliver remarks at Greensville County High School in Emporia, Virginia. The President's remarks are open to pre-credentialed media.

The President will spend the night in Hampton, Virginia.
