WASHINGTON--Mayor Rahm Emanuel will help kick off a U.S.-India economic conference in Chicago on Sept. 20 sponsored by The Executives' Club and highlighted with a visit by India's new ambassador to the U.S., Nirupama Rao.
Rao presented her credentials to President Obama in a Sept. 9 ceremony.

Our membership looks forward to hearing from His Excellency Anand Sharma, Minister of Commerce, Industry & Textiles, His Excellency Sushil Kumar Shinde, Minister of Power, His Excellency Farooq Abdullah, Minister of New & Renewable Energy and Her Excellency Nirupama Rao, Indian Ambassador to the U.S. who will keynote during a full-day of programming covering aviation, manufacturing, power, renewable energy and telecommunications," said Melissa Bean, CEO & President. Bean is a former suburban Chicago congresswoman.
