Rahm blows up: Chicago Teachers Union president says he yelled at her

My friends in Washington always ask me how Rahm Emanuel is doing as mayor; since Emanuel loves metrics, I thought I would pass along this benchmark, the first episode of alleged verbal abuse by Emanuel in his role as mayor....

It's not pleasant being yelled at by Emanuel, especially the first time. The intimidating tactic by President Obama's former chief of staff takes a little getting used to, then you can try to shrug it off. Toughen up, Chicago.

Chicago Sun-Times education reporter Rosalind Rossi details the Chicago Teachers Union chief telling of her heated discussion with Emanuel over the longer school day. Emanuel exploded at her, she said. The CTU sued Rahm's Board of Education Friday over the longer school day, asserting he is trying to "coerce" teachers into waivering their labor rights.
