Guidance for the Week of September 19, 2011
On Monday, the President will make remarks on his vision for a balanced approach to reducing our deficit and living within our means and announce his recommendations to the Joint Committee on Deficit Reduction. The President's remarks will take place at 10:30 AM ET in the Rose Garden.
Later on Monday, the President and the First Lady will travel to New York City, returning to Washington, DC, on Wednesday, September 21.
While in New York City, the President will participate in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The President will attend additional bilateral and multilateral meetings on the margins of UNGA, including a high-level multilateral meeting on Libya.
The President will also attend the Open Government Partnership Event and deliver remarks at the Clinton Global Initiative.
On Thursday, the President will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, to deliver remarks at the Brent Spence Bridge, urging Congress to pass the American Jobs Act now so that we can make much-needed investments in infrastructure projects across the country and put more Americans back to work.
On Friday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.
