WASHINGTON--Former President Bill Clinton is marking the 20th anniversary of the announcement of his presidential bid with a day of activities and a staff reunion in Little Rock sponsored by his Clinton Presidential Center. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel march to the national scene started when he moved from Chicago to Little Rock to raise money for Clinton's run. The move to Little Rock was a turning point for Emanuel, paving the way for his political career and his financial fortune.

New York, NY- This weekend, September 30, 2011 to October 1, 2011, the Clinton Presidential Center will celebrate the twentieth anniversary of President Clinton's announcement to run for President of the United States in Little Rock, Arkansas.
On Friday, President Clinton will attend the dedication of the Clinton Presidential Park Bridge and the Bill Clark Wetlands. Both events are open press.
Later that day, the Center will host a panel titled "Reimagining the Progressive Tradition: The Clinton/Gore Campaign and the Emergence of a Democratic Agenda for the 21st Century." Panelists include James Carville, Frank Greer, Don Baer, Lottie Shackleford, Al From, and Vernon E. Jordan, Jr.. The panel is open press.
In the evening, the Clinton Presidential Center and the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau will host a free showing of "The War Room," a documentary film depicting the 1992 campaign. These events are closed press.
On Saturday morning, the staff of the Arkansas Governor's Mansion will offer free guided tours of the Governor's mansion. The tours are closed press.
In the afternoon, there will be a celebration of the twentieth anniversary of President Clinton's announcement to run for President of the United States. The event will be held on the Old State House Lawn and will be open press.
Later, President Clinton will attend a staff reunion on the Clinton Presidential Park grounds. The reunion is closed press.
