WASHINGTON--Vice President Joe Biden hits Chicago on Tuesday for fund-raising events to benefit the Obama/Biden 2012 re-election drive--with the ticket price for a major donor dinner ranging from $10,000 for a guest and $35,800 to be a "host."

Biden is ramping up his fund-raising travel as the end of the third quarter--Sept. 30--approaches. Besides Chicago--where Biden hosts an event at the Sheraton on Tuesday--he has or recently was in Raleigh, Dallas, Cleveland, Charleston, New York and Boston. Tickets for the afternoon Sheraton reception are $500 per person.

The dinner is at the home of Rajiv Fernando, the CEO of Chopper Trading.
