President Obama official schedule and guidance, Aug. 15, 2011. Minnesota, Iowa bus tour

In the morning, the President will travel to St. Paul, Minnesota to begin his three-day bus tour in the Midwest. The President's departure from the South Lawn and arrival at St. Paul-Minneapolis International Airport is open press.

In the Midwest, the President will discuss ways to grow the economy, strengthen the middle class and accelerate hiring in communities and towns across the nation and hear directly from Americans, including small business owners, local families, private sector leaders, rural organizations, and government officials. The President knows we must do everything we can to promote economic growth, restore confidence in our nation's future and enhance the sense of optimism for future generations.

Later, the President will hold a town hall event in Cannon Falls, Minnesota at Lower Hannah's Bend Park. This event is open press.

In the afternoon, the President will host a town hall event in Decorah, Iowa at Seed Savers Exchange. This event is open press.

The President will spend the night in Decorah, Iowa.
