THE PUBLIC SCHEDULE FOR MAYOR EMANUEL JUNE 7, 2011

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Chicago Department of Transportation Commissioner Gabe Klein will mark the beginning of construction on the first of one hundred miles of protected bike lanes on Chicago streets, keeping the Mayor's promise to expand the bike lane network across the city. Making Chicago the most bicycle-friendly city in the United States will ensure that Chicago's transportation network supports diverse and affordable ways of getting around, and will enhance Chicago's economic strength and growth.
