Obama's German state dinner: Michelle previews. UPDATE

WASHINGTON--First Lady Michelle Obama previews Tuesday afternoon the German State Dinner for Chancellor Angela Merkel--the first female and the first European head of state to be honored by the Obamas'. CLICK HERE FOR THE STATE DINNER MENU AND OTHER DETAILS FOR THE EVENT, TO BE HELD IN THE ROSE GARDEN.

The other Obama state dinners hosted were for: India, Mexico, China.


From the White House: "In the afternoon, Mrs. Obama will host a special event with local young women to highlight the importance of women in diplomacy. Ambassador Brooke Anderson, National Security Staff Chief of Staff, will join Mrs. Obama as they speak to young women from Banneker High School in Washington, DC, Wootton High School in Rockville Maryland, the Girl Scouts and Girls Inc. "
