DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
TUESDAY, MAY 3, 2011
In the morning, the President and the Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. The President will then meet with senior advisors in the Oval Office. These meetings are closed press.
In the afternoon, the President will honor the 2011 National Teacher of the Year and State Teachers of the Year in the Rose Garden, thanking them for their hard work and dedication each and every day in the classroom. This event is open press.
Afterwards, the President will hold a Cabinet meeting in the Cabinet Room. The Vice President will also attend. There will be a pool spray at the top of the meeting.
In the afternoon, the President will meet with members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus in the State Dining Room on the importance of fixing our nation's broken immigration system to meet our 21st century economic and national security needs so that America can win the future. This meeting is closed press.
Later in the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will meet with Secretary of Defense Gates in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
