Mayor Daley pops up in Washington D.C.

WASHINGTON--Mayor Daley was spotted here Tuesday night with his son, Patrick.

I ran into Daley--who ends his term as mayor on Monday, when Rahm Emanuel is sworn-in--at the Hay-Adams Hotel down the block from the White House.

Daley was huddled in the downstairs bar of the hotel with his son and a group from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, in D.C. for a meeting. Daley and Patrick were chatting with, among others, CME executive chairman Terrence Duffy, CME senior policy advisor Leo Melamed and former CME chairman Jack Sander.

Daley did not have any events on a public schedule for Tuesday.

White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley was not spotted at the Hay-Adams.
