Illinois Congress 2012: Bill Foster comeback bid

Former Rep. Bill Foster (D-Ill.), defeated by Rep. Randy Hultgren (R-Ill.) in 2010, is going to run for Congress again in 2012--though perhaps not in the same district. Sun-Times political reporter Abdon M. Pallasch has the story about how some non-incumbent congressional Democrats, including Foster, are mulling their 2012 moves under the new Illinois redistricting plan state Democrats unveiled on Friday. The Democratic mapmakers drew new congressional districts on blatant partisan lines--all designed to reduce the chances of GOP incumbents from districts anchored in suburban Chicago of retaining their seats.
